your customers can enter their name and email address through your opt in (your page must be a php if it isn't it will become one during setup installation)
they will see a popup screen that will tell them to check their email and to click the link in that email to confirm the email address
once your customer has clicked this link they will get a green tick next to their name in the admin panel (located under customers) and they will then be added to the database
if they do not click to confirm they will not be added to the database and no newsletter will be sent to them. This is to avoid spammers and auto programs that fills in these type of items.
Once they have clicked the link to confirm their email address they are taken to a page to let them know that they will receive the next available newsletter, that they can opt out at any time by clicking the link in the footer of the newsletter that is set up by default and can not be edited in admin this will take them out automatically of your list so that no more newsletters are sent to them. |
