So what does the newsletter allow you to do?

your customers can enter their name and email address through your opt in (your page must be a php if it isn't it will become one during setup installation)

they will see a popup screen that will tell them to check their email and to click the link in that email to confirm the email address

once your customer has clicked this link they will get a green tick next to their name in the admin panel (located under customers) and they will then be added to the database
if they do not click to confirm they will not be added to the database and no newsletter will be sent to them. This is to avoid spammers and auto programs that fills in these type of items.

Once they have clicked the link to confirm their email address they are taken to a page to let them know that they will receive the next available newsletter, that they can opt out at any time by clicking the link in the footer of the newsletter that is set up by default and can not be edited in admin this will take them out automatically of your list so that no more newsletters are sent to them.

• The number of the newsletter (your first newsletter is number 1 and so on)
• The name of your newsletter
• The header image you are using for the named newsletter (so for Christmas you can be festive!)
• The footer image you are using for the named newsletter (there will be a default link that can not be removed or changed that allows your list to remove themselves to comply with anti spam laws)
• Send newsletter, click this link to send this particular newsletter to your lists
• Options are to edit the newsletter (this includes header, footer image etc) or you can delete it by clicking the cross button

• Your newsletter customers are listed giving them a number
• You will see their name
• Email address
• The date they joined your list
• And which site they opted in from
• You can see if they have clicked the link in the confirmation email this will change status once they have done this, they will not receive a newsletter until they have confirmed (personally I just delete these if they haven't done this after a week)
• You can delete manually email addresses
• You can move a customer to a particular list

• The groups are all given a numerical number with the first group you create being number 1

• Emails that are included in that list it is not necessary to see the email addresses
• You can add email addresses to the .csv file that you receive as part of the installation we up load this for you, these emails address will not require the click to confirm email but WILL get a newsletter
• Groups can be made active or inactive
• You can delete the group & lists easily if so desired
